Nice review. It's probably still the most feature-filled G-Shock for around $200 to $250. One design feature of the GW-9400 that I particularly like is the knurled metal buttons mounted in protective sleeves. They have very nice activation as well, at least on the two samples I've tried.
G-Shock Repair on GPR-B1000 . Hello, would like to seek some advice if it is worth it to send my watch for repair. The cost of repair from the Casio website stated that for a module and battery it will cost about half of the watch's original price. Had a Mudman that I had used for years before using the Rangeman and now I am back to Mudman

Part of the "Master of G" series, this Rangeman watch incorporates a triple sensor to measure compass bearing, atmospheric pressure/altitude and temperature, based on the concept of "Survival Toughness." In addition to Triple Sensor, the new GPR-B1000 is capable of GPS navigation - a first for a G-SHOCK watch.

For two reasons. Firstly this isn't a 'Smart' or 'Fitness' watch. It's a watch with a navigation device built in. The Rangeman doesn't measure heart rate, pace, run stats etc so isn't in competition with a fitness monitor and it isn't a smart watch. It doesn't get your text messages or tell you you have an email.
